THE HISTORY OF TELLShoes

Orthopedic shoemakers face a significant challenge: providing timely, customized footwear to meet the specific needs of diabetic patients. Between delivery delays and complexities associated with personalizing the shoes, it is not always easy to meet expectations regarding timelines.

Confronted with this situation, a realization emerged: "It is essential to have shoes that meet the current market demands." With this in mind, the idea for this project was conceived. In February 2020, after twelve months dedicated to research, development, and the creation of several prototypes, the company Tells Shoes Sàrl was established. Just a few months after its inception, we were proud to receive our very first pairs of shoes!

Frequently Asked Questions

1. How are Tells Shoes different from other “diabetic” shoes on the market?
Tells Shoes stands out because the brand combines orthopaedic safety with modern aesthetics.
  • The models have reinforcements to stabilise the foot, no internal seams to prevent abrasions, and a rigid roll-off bar.
  • There are two removable insoles, allowing you to adjust the fit.
  • The leather used is of high quality (French leather), which guarantees durability and comfort.
  • The shoes are manufactured in France, in a family-run business near Nantes. This ensures quality and ethical standards.
  • Finally, the shoes comply with Swissmedic requirements (class I).
Yes, absolutely.
  • The lining complies with diabetic standards: it protects sensitive areas, limits internal friction and is washable.
  • There are no seams inside the shoe, which greatly reduces pressure points or irritation.
  • The rigid roll bar provides relief from plantar stress during the walking phase.
  • Thanks to the two insoles, the volume can be adjusted precisely, preventing the foot from being compressed inside the shoe.
Yes.
  • The two removable insoles allow you to adjust the volume: you can remove or replace one of the insoles to make room for your foot.
  • The shoes are designed to be stable, with extended side counters and an offset sole to improve ground support.
Yes — and it's even a big advantage.
  • Thanks to the two removable insoles, there is space to insert your own orthopaedic insoles without compromising on design or comfort.
  • The shoes are developed in Switzerland in Collombey-Muraz (VS).
  • Manufacturing takes place in France (Loire-Atlantique)
  • The materials: the leather, textiles and all other components used in these shoes are also sourced in France. This ensures a short and environmentally friendly supply chain.
